Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the best spots in the world to watch
elephant with the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount
Kilimanjaro. Writers have described Ol Tukai and the surrounding

The lodge has eighty guest bedrooms and was opened in April 1996.

Accommodation:- There are 80
luxury chalet-style twin rooms at Ol Tukai Lodge, all with an
uninterrupted view of the wetlands or Kilimanjaro. Stylish and
comfortable, the rooms are built from gum trees, local river stone
and slate. All rooms have private bathrooms and individual terraces.
To accommodate physically challenged guests, two rooms have been
designed according to EU standards.
Quietly tucked away from view, Kibo Villa crouches undisturbed,
an elegant three-bedroom log cabin built in stone and gum tree,
in complete harmony
with its surroundings. With its own entrance, secluded by a copse
of indigenous Acacia Tortilis trees and five acres of garden,
Kibo Villa is peace and privacy made perfection. All bedrooms
are ensuite, and the master bedroom opens onto a roof top terrace
where you can relax in the Jacuzzi, drinking in the splendid panorama
of Amboseli and Kilimanjaro. The Villa offers a lounge, a dining
room, a fully fitted kitchen, a barbecue area and large verandas.
Guests can choose to be catered or self-catering and may also
make use of the Lodge’s facilities.
Activities:-
Ol Tukai is the perfect location to bring out your naturalist
instincts. Amboseli National Park is home to numerous animals
including large populations of elephant, lion, buffalo, cheetah,
leopard, giraffe and gazelle. Within the wide open spaces of Ol
Tukai and the Park upto 400 verities of birds can be spotted and
Ol Tukai has a specially designed bird walk for the professional
or the amateur bird watcher. Enjoy the sight and sounds of the
Amboseli Plain with a lavish champagne buffet breakfast in a wonderful
secluded setting amongst the tortillas trees only a stone throw
away from the family of the resident Ol Tukai elephants that are
also feasting on their morning breakfast.
